Freckles are typically pictured as little, irregularly shaped, pale brown macules that appear on fair-skinned people’s sun-exposed skin. Freckles are frequently recognised in skin types I through IV but rarely in skin type V. Patients with fair skin, light eyes, and auburn hair respond well to laser therapy and have a long-lasting, acceptable result. Additionally, lentigines, which emphasise the surface freckles, should be distinguished from freckles.
We at Amista skin &hair clinics, perform patch test on freckles before treating the entire face. Freckles are efficiently targeted with Q-switched ,Nd:YAGlasers, chemical peels etc. Sunscreen should be mandatory after the procedure. Creams containing hydroquinone, tretinoin, and steroids were avoided after laser treatment since they often cause erythema and irritability of the skin.
